This is my personal website where I showcase my creative work. Since 1995 I have expended most of my creative energy designing and building websites and creative educational resources though my business, Learning Connections.
More recently I have scaled back the business to allow me more time to for other creative activities, particularly making music and painting.
I paint in acrylic, a medium which attracted me because of its vibrant colours and durability. I continue to learn about its possibilities and limitations as I develop my technique.
To date, I have focused on portraits based on photographs.
Some of my portraits are designed with a computer before being transferred to card and painted. I have used these designs to create a set of full colour postcards.
I set up Learning Connections in 1995 to develop web-based resources for schools for clients including BT, Severn Trent Water and The Royal Navy.
Our current focus is the design and build of websites for individuals, small businesses and charities.
I have always drawn, mostly in pencil and sometimes in any media that came to hand.
As a child it was cartoon characters, birds and animals. As an adult figures and faces - and thousands of doodles on meeting notes. These days I draw mostly as a basis for paintings.
